Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Dawn Bennett. I have lived in Hoke County fifteen (15) years. I became a resident by way of the military. I served honorably in the United States Army for nine (9) years. I am married to Preston Bennett; together we have four (4) children and one granddaughter. I worked as a Deputy Clerk at the Hoke County Courthouse in the Juvenile Department. Having served as a Juvenile Clerk, I have been given the opportunity to see a need in our community for bonding in our families.

This year I am offering an elegant evening by hosting the 3rd Annual Isn't She Lovely Father/Daughter "Masquerade" Ball, entitled.  It is my intention to promote the bond between fathers/father-figure and daughters and provide the opportunity to create special memories that will last a lifetime! Our young ladies need to know how special they are to their biological father, step-father, uncle, big brother, neighbor or any positive male role model in their life. We will offer refreshments, games, dancing and pictures at the event. The ladies, ranging from ages 2 and up, will be treated to an elegant evening.
